Motor Circuit Breakers
Motor Circuit Breakers; what are they?
Motor circuit breakers are products that protect motors against phase-loss, short circuit and overcurrent with electromechanical protection elements that can automatically switch the circuit on and off. To determine a suitable Motor Circuit Breaker, it is essential to know the power, nominal current value and operating voltage of the motor that is to be protected.
The difference between Motor Circuit Breakers and other circuit breakers is that they instantly switch the circuit on and off and protect the motor against phase-loss.

Types of Motor Circuit Breakers:
- Button Type Motor Circuit Breakers
- Selector Switch Type Motor Circuit Breakers
They are designed and produced according to TS EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-4-1 and VDE 0660 standards.
How Do They Work?
When Motor Circuit Breakers detect a fault (overcurrent, phase-loss, short circuit) on the motor circuit, it isolates the load directly and interrupts all phases from the source. They also switch on quickly and protect the motors against damage. They are mostly used to protect low power motors.
Areas of usage:
- Air Conditioning
- Conveyor System
- Crane Panels
- Low power machine
- Compressor
- Automatic Control Systems
